मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-82, verse-61

केषाञ्चिद्वाहवश्छिन्नाश्छिन्नग्रीवास्तथापरे ।
शिरांसि पेतुरन्येषामन्ये मध्ये विदारिताः ॥६१॥
61. keṣāñcidvāhavaśchinnāśchinnagrīvāstathāpare .
śirāṃsi peturanyeṣāmanye madhye vidāritāḥ.
61. keṣāñcit bāhavaḥ chinnāḥ chinnagrīvāḥ tathā apare
| śirāṃsi petuḥ anyeṣām anye madhye vidāritāḥ
61. Some had their arms severed, and likewise, others had their necks severed. The heads of still others fell, while some were split in the middle.
