ततो देवी त्रिशूलेन गदया शक्तिवृष्टिभिः ।
शड्गादिभिश्च शतशो निजघान महासुरान् ॥५६॥

Then the Goddess (devī) struck down the great asuras (mahāsurān) by hundreds with her trident, mace, showers of spears (śakti), and swords, along with other weapons.
