मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-82, verse-38

क्षोभिताशेषपातालां धनुर्ज्यानिः स्वनेन ताम् ।
दिशो भुजसहस्रेण समन्ताद् व्याप्य संस्थिताम् ॥३८॥
38. kṣobhitāśeṣapātālāṃ dhanurjyāniḥ svanena tām .

38. Mahiṣāsura saw her (the Goddess) who had agitated all the nether regions with the twang of her bowstring, and who was established, having pervaded all directions on all sides with her thousand arms.
