महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-31, verse-26

दुर्योधन उवाच ।
एकश्चेद्योद्धुमाक्रन्दे वरोऽद्य मम दीयते ।
आयुधानामियं चापि वृता त्वत्संमते गदा ॥२६॥
26. duryodhana uvāca ,
ekaścedyoddhumākrande varo'dya mama dīyate ,
āyudhānāmiyaṁ cāpi vṛtā tvatsaṁmate gadā.
26. duryodhana uvāca | ekaḥ cet yoddhum ākrande varaḥ adya
mama dīyate | āyudhānām iyam ca api vṛtā tvatsaṃmate gadā
26. duryodhana uvāca cet ekaḥ ākrande yoddhum adya mama varaḥ dīyate,
(tarhi) āyudhānām iyam gadā ca api tvatsaṃmate vṛtā (asti)
26. Duryodhana said: 'If a boon is granted to me today to fight alone in battle, then among weapons, this mace has been chosen by me, with your approval.'
