महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-74, verse-14

ततस्तस्य रथौघस्य मध्यं प्राप्य हयोत्तमाः ।
कृच्छ्रेण रथमूहुस्तं क्षुत्पिपासाश्रमान्विताः ॥१४॥
14. tatastasya rathaughasya madhyaṁ prāpya hayottamāḥ ,
kṛcchreṇa rathamūhustaṁ kṣutpipāsāśramānvitāḥ.

14. Then, having reached the center of that multitude of chariots, the excellent horses, afflicted by hunger, thirst, and fatigue, pulled that chariot with great difficulty.
