O best of the Kurus (kuruśreṣṭha), you ought not (na arhasi) to attribute fault (doṣeṇa gantum) to the Kauravas (kauravān) who, with all their strength (yathāśakti), are striving (ghaṭamānān) and performing (kurvāṇān) a difficult (duṣkaram) task (karma).
