महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-79, verse-14

युध्यतां हि तथा राजन्विशेषो न व्यदृश्यत ।
यततां शत्रुनाशाय कृतप्रतिकृतैषिणाम् ॥१४॥
14. yudhyatāṁ hi tathā rājanviśeṣo na vyadṛśyata ,
yatatāṁ śatrunāśāya kṛtapratikṛtaiṣiṇām.

14. Indeed, O King, no particular difference could be observed between those who were fighting, striving for the destruction of their enemies, and seeking to return blow for blow.
