सोऽस्मि कृष्ण तथा जातः पाण्डोः पुत्रोऽस्मि धर्मतः ।
कुन्त्या त्वहमपाकीर्णो यथा न कुशलं तथा ॥४॥

O Krishna, I am thus born; by natural law (dharma), I am the son of Pāṇḍu. However, Kuntī cast me away in a manner that was not conducive to my welfare.
