महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-139, verse-17

वधाद्बन्धाद्भयाद्वापि लोभाद्वापि जनार्दन ।
अनृतं नोत्सहे कर्तुं धार्तराष्ट्रस्य धीमतः ॥१७॥
17. vadhādbandhādbhayādvāpi lobhādvāpi janārdana ,
anṛtaṁ notsahe kartuṁ dhārtarāṣṭrasya dhīmataḥ.
17. vadhāt bandhāt bhayāt vā api lobhāt vā api janārdana
anṛtam na utsahe kartum dhārtarāṣṭrasya dhīmataḥ
17. janārdana vadhāt bandhāt bhayāt vā api lobhāt vā api

17. O Janārdana, I am not able to speak falsely to the intelligent son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra (Duryodhana), not even from fear of death, imprisonment, or out of greed.
