महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-255, verse-59

इत्युच्यमानः पार्थेन सैन्धवो न न्यवर्तत ।
तिष्ठ तिष्ठेति तं भीमः सहसाभ्यद्रवद्बली ।
मा वधीरिति पार्थस्तं दयावानभ्यभाषत ॥५९॥
59. ityucyamānaḥ pārthena saindhavo na nyavartata ,
tiṣṭha tiṣṭheti taṁ bhīmaḥ sahasābhyadravadbalī ,
mā vadhīriti pārthastaṁ dayāvānabhyabhāṣata.
59. iti ucyamānaḥ pārtena saindhavaḥ na
nyavartata tiṣṭha tiṣṭha iti tam bhīmaḥ
sahasā abhyadravat balī mā vadhīḥ
iti pārthaḥ tam dayāvān abhyabhāṣata
59. Even though Pārtha (Arjuna) spoke to him in this manner, Saindhava (Jayadratha) did not turn back. The powerful Bhīma suddenly rushed towards him, shouting, "Stop, stop!" But Pārtha, being compassionate, addressed Bhīma, saying, "Do not kill him!"
