महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-187, verse-51

अस्यैव वरदानाद्धि स्मृतिर्न प्रजहाति माम् ।
दीर्घमायुश्च कौन्तेय स्वच्छन्दमरणं तथा ॥५१॥
51. asyaiva varadānāddhi smṛtirna prajahāti mām ,
dīrghamāyuśca kaunteya svacchandamaraṇaṁ tathā.
51. asya eva varadānāt hi smṛtiḥ na prajahāti mām |
dīrgham āyuḥ ca kaunteya svacchandamaraṇam tathā
51. Indeed, due to his (Janārdana's) boon alone, my memory (smṛti) does not abandon me, and similarly, O son of Kuntī, I have a long life and the power of death at will.
