महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-187, verse-24

प्राप्तुं न शक्यो यो विद्वन्नरैर्दुष्कृतकर्मभिः ।
लोभाभिभूतैः कृपणैरनार्यैरकृतात्मभिः ॥२४॥
24. prāptuṁ na śakyo yo vidvannarairduṣkṛtakarmabhiḥ ,
lobhābhibhūtaiḥ kṛpaṇairanāryairakṛtātmabhiḥ.
24. prāptuṃ na śakyaḥ yaḥ vidvan naraiḥ duṣkṛtakarmabhiḥ
lobhābhibhūtaiḥ kṛpaṇaiḥ anāryaiḥ akṛtātmabhiḥ
24. O learned one, I cannot be attained by men whose actions (karma) are wicked, by those who are overcome by greed, by the wretched, by the ignoble, and by those who have not disciplined their self (ātman).
