महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-187, verse-44

ततोऽसि वक्त्राद्विप्रर्षे द्रुतं निःसारितो मया ।
आख्यातस्ते मया चात्मा दुर्ज्ञेयोऽपि सुरासुरैः ॥४४॥
44. tato'si vaktrādviprarṣe drutaṁ niḥsārito mayā ,
ākhyātaste mayā cātmā durjñeyo'pi surāsuraiḥ.
44. tataḥ asi vaktrāt viprarṣe drutam niḥsāritaḥ mayā
ākhyātaḥ te mayā ca ātmā durjñeyaḥ api surāsuraiḥ
44. Therefore, O brahmin-sage (viprarṣe), I swiftly expelled you from my mouth. And I also explained to you the self (ātman), which is difficult for even gods and asuras to understand.
