महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-187, verse-42

सर्वमेकार्णवं दृष्ट्वा नष्टं स्थावरजङ्गमम् ।
विक्लवोऽसि मया ज्ञातस्ततस्ते दर्शितं जगत् ॥४२॥
42. sarvamekārṇavaṁ dṛṣṭvā naṣṭaṁ sthāvarajaṅgamam ,
viklavo'si mayā jñātastataste darśitaṁ jagat.
42. sarvam ekārṇavam dṛṣṭvā naṣṭam sthāvarajaṅgamam
viklavaḥ asi mayā jñātaḥ tataḥ te darśitam jagat
42. Seeing everything—the stationary and moving (beings)—destroyed and submerged in a single cosmic ocean, you became distressed. I knew this, and therefore the universe was revealed to you.
