महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-187, verse-2

पितृभक्तोऽसि विप्रर्षे मां चैव शरणं गतः ।
अतो दृष्टोऽस्मि ते साक्षाद्ब्रह्मचर्यं च ते महत् ॥२॥
2. pitṛbhakto'si viprarṣe māṁ caiva śaraṇaṁ gataḥ ,
ato dṛṣṭo'smi te sākṣādbrahmacaryaṁ ca te mahat.
2. pitṛbhaktaḥ asi viprarṣe mām ca eva śaraṇam gataḥ
ataḥ dṛṣṭaḥ asmi te sākṣāt brahmacaryam ca te mahat
2. O sage among Brahmins, you are devoted to your father, and you have sought refuge (śaraṇa) in me. Therefore, I am seen by you directly, and your celibacy (brahmacarya) is great.
