महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-187, verse-2

पितृभक्तोऽसि विप्रर्षे मां चैव शरणं गतः ।
अतो दृष्टोऽस्मि ते साक्षाद्ब्रह्मचर्यं च ते महत् ॥२॥

2. pitṛbhakto'si viprarṣe māṁ caiva śaraṇaṁ gataḥ ,
ato dṛṣṭo'smi te sākṣādbrahmacaryaṁ ca te mahat.

2. O sage among Brahmins, you are devoted to your father, and you have sought refuge (śaraṇa) in me. Therefore, I am seen by you directly, and your celibacy (brahmacarya) is great.

2. אתה מסור לאביך, הו חוזה בְּרַהְמִין, ופנית אלי למקלט. לכן נראיתי לך באופן ישיר, ושמירת הטוהר הנזירית שלך גדולה.
