महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-28, verse-30

एवमुक्त्वा तु माद्रेयः कुशैरास्तीर्य मेदिनीम् ।
विधिवत्पुरुषव्याघ्रः पावकं प्रत्युपाविशत् ॥३०॥
30. evamuktvā tu mādreyaḥ kuśairāstīrya medinīm ,
vidhivatpuruṣavyāghraḥ pāvakaṁ pratyupāviśat.
30. evam uktvā tu mādreyaḥ kuśaiḥ āstīrya medinīm
vidhivat puruṣavyāghraḥ pāvakam prati upāviśat
30. Having spoken thus, the son of Madri (mādreya), a tiger among men (puruṣavyāghra), spread Kuśa grass on the ground and, following the prescribed rites, sat down facing Agni.
