महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-28, verse-29

वेदास्त्वदर्थं जाताश्च जातवेदास्ततो ह्यसि ।
यज्ञविघ्नमिमं कर्तुं नार्हस्त्वं हव्यवाहन ॥२९॥
29. vedāstvadarthaṁ jātāśca jātavedāstato hyasi ,
yajñavighnamimaṁ kartuṁ nārhastvaṁ havyavāhana.
29. vedāḥ tvat-artham jātāḥ ca jātavedāḥ tataḥ hi asi
yajña-vighnam imam kartum na arhasi tvam havyavāhana
29. havyavāhana tvat-artham vedāḥ jātāḥ ca tataḥ hi
jātavedāḥ asi tvam imam yajña-vighnam kartum na arhasi
29. O Havyavāhana (Fire-god), the Vedas came into existence for your sake; hence, you are indeed known as Jātavedas (knower of all born beings). You ought not to obstruct this Vedic ritual (yajña).
