महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-28, verse-21

वरेण छन्दयामास तं नृपं स्विष्टकृत्तमः ।
अभयं च स जग्राह स्वसैन्ये वै महीपतिः ॥२१॥
21. vareṇa chandayāmāsa taṁ nṛpaṁ sviṣṭakṛttamaḥ ,
abhayaṁ ca sa jagrāha svasainye vai mahīpatiḥ.

abhayam ca saḥ jagrāha svasainye vai mahīpatiḥ
21. The supremely auspicious performer of sacrifices (sviṣṭakṛttama) granted a boon to that king. And indeed, the king (mahipati) chose freedom from fear (abhaya) for his own army.
