महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-96, verse-44

स्नुषा इव स धर्मात्मा भगिन्य इव चानुजाः ।
यथा दुहितरश्चैव प्रतिगृह्य ययौ कुरून् ॥४४॥
44. snuṣā iva sa dharmātmā bhaginya iva cānujāḥ ,
yathā duhitaraścaiva pratigṛhya yayau kurūn.

yathā duhitarah ca eva pratigṛhya yayau kurūn
44. That righteous-souled Bhishma, having received them as daughters-in-law, as younger sisters, and as daughters, proceeded to the Kurus.
