महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-96, verse-22

स तद्बाणमयं वर्षं शरैरावार्य सर्वतः ।
ततः सर्वान्महीपालान्प्रत्यविध्यत्त्रिभिस्त्रिभिः ॥२२॥
22. sa tadbāṇamayaṁ varṣaṁ śarairāvārya sarvataḥ ,
tataḥ sarvānmahīpālānpratyavidhyattribhistribhiḥ.
22. saḥ tat bāṇamayam varṣam śaraiḥ āvārya sarvataḥ
tataḥ sarvān mahīpālān pratyavidhyat tribhiḥ tribhiḥ
22. Having warded off that shower of arrows from all sides with his own arrows, he then struck each of all those kings with three arrows.
