महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-96, verse-32

ततो भीष्मं शांतनवं शरैः शतसहस्रशः ।
शाल्वराजो नरश्रेष्ठः समवाकिरदाशुगैः ॥३२॥
32. tato bhīṣmaṁ śāṁtanavaṁ śaraiḥ śatasahasraśaḥ ,
śālvarājo naraśreṣṭhaḥ samavākiradāśugaiḥ.
32. tataḥ bhīṣmam śāntanavam śaraiḥ śatasahasraśaḥ
śālvarājaḥ naraśreṣṭhaḥ samavākirat āśugaiḥ
32. Then, King Shalva, that best among men, showered Bhishma, son of Shantanu, with hundreds of thousands of swift-flying arrows.
