महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-96, verse-12

ता इमाः पृथिवीपाला जिहीर्षामि बलादितः ।
ते यतध्वं परं शक्त्या विजयायेतराय वा ।
स्थितोऽहं पृथिवीपाला युद्धाय कृतनिश्चयः ॥१२॥
12. tā imāḥ pṛthivīpālā jihīrṣāmi balāditaḥ ,
te yatadhvaṁ paraṁ śaktyā vijayāyetarāya vā ,
sthito'haṁ pṛthivīpālā yuddhāya kṛtaniścayaḥ.
12. tāḥ imāḥ pṛthivīpālāḥ jihīrṣāmi
balāt itaḥ te yatadhvam param śaktyā
vijayāya itarāya vā sthitaḥ aham
pṛthivīpālāḥ yuddhāya kṛtaniścayaḥ
12. O protectors of the earth, I intend to carry off these (maidens) by force right here. You all exert yourselves with your utmost strength, whether for victory or for the alternative (defeat). O kings, I stand here, resolute for battle.
