ते त्विषून्दशसाहस्रांस्तस्मै युगपदाक्षिपन् ।
अप्राप्तांश्चैव तानाशु भीष्मः सर्वांस्तदाच्छिनत् ॥२०॥

aprāptān ca eva tān āśu bhīṣmaḥ sarvān tadā acchinat

20. They simultaneously hurled ten thousand arrows at him. But Bhishma quickly intercepted and cut off all of them before they could even reach him.
