महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-96, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
हते चित्राङ्गदे भीष्मो बाले भ्रातरि चानघ ।
पालयामास तद्राज्यं सत्यवत्या मते स्थितः ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
hate citrāṅgade bhīṣmo bāle bhrātari cānagha ,
pālayāmāsa tadrājyaṁ satyavatyā mate sthitaḥ.

1. Vaishampayana said: "O sinless one, after his young brother Chitrangada was killed, Bhishma protected that kingdom, abiding by Satyavati's counsel."
