महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-89, verse-53

देवापिस्तु प्रवव्राज तेषां धर्मपरीप्सया ।
शंतनुश्च महीं लेभे बाह्लीकश्च महारथः ॥५३॥
53. devāpistu pravavrāja teṣāṁ dharmaparīpsayā ,
śaṁtanuśca mahīṁ lebhe bāhlīkaśca mahārathaḥ.
53. devāpiḥ tu pravavrāja teṣām dharmaparīpsayā
śaṃtanuḥ ca mahīm lebhe bāhlīkaḥ ca mahārathaḥ
53. Devāpi, however, renounced the world with the intention of upholding dharma. Śaṃtanu obtained the kingdom, and Bāhlīka, the great warrior.
