महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-158, verse-43

समानपद्ये षण्मासान्स्थितो विद्यां लभेदिमाम् ।
अनुनेष्याम्यहं विद्यां स्वयं तुभ्यं व्रते कृते ॥४३॥

43. samānapadye ṣaṇmāsānsthito vidyāṁ labhedimām ,
anuneṣyāmyahaṁ vidyāṁ svayaṁ tubhyaṁ vrate kṛte.

43. samānapadye ṣaṭ māsān sthitaḥ vidyām labhet imām
anuneṣyāmi aham vidyām svayam tubhyam vrate kṛte

43. One who steadfastly maintains the same vow (vrata) for six months will acquire this lore. I myself will bestow this knowledge upon you once your vow (vrata) is completed.
