महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-158, verse-37

अस्त्राग्निना विचित्रोऽयं दग्धो मे रथ उत्तमः ।
सोऽहं चित्ररथो भूत्वा नाम्ना दग्धरथोऽभवम् ॥३७॥
37. astrāgninā vicitro'yaṁ dagdho me ratha uttamaḥ ,
so'haṁ citraratho bhūtvā nāmnā dagdharatho'bhavam.
37. astrāgninā vicitraḥ ayam dagdhaḥ me rathaḥ uttamaḥ
saḥ aham citrarathaḥ bhūtvā nāmnā dagdharathaḥ abhavam
37. My excellent, splendid chariot has been burned by the fire of (your) weapons. I, who was known as Citraratha (one with a splendid chariot), have now by name become Dagdharatha (one with a burned chariot).
