योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-59, verse-7

मालिन्यं दुःखमप्येवं ज्वालाया इव कज्जलम् ।
आगमापायिनोऽनित्या मनःषष्ठेन्द्रियक्रियाः ॥ ७ ॥
mālinyaṃ duḥkhamapyevaṃ jvālāyā iva kajjalam ,
āgamāpāyino'nityā manaḥṣaṣṭhendriyakriyāḥ 7
7. mālinyam duḥkham api evam jvālāyāḥ iva kajjalam
āgamāpāyinaḥ anityāḥ manaḥṣaṣṭhendriyakriyāḥ
7. mālinyam duḥkham api evam jvālāyāḥ kajjalam iva (bhavati).
manaḥṣaṣṭhendriyakriyāḥ āgamāpāyinaḥ anityāḥ (ca santi).
7. Impurity, which is indeed suffering, is thus like soot from a flame. The activities of the mind and the other five senses are transient and impermanent.
