मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-76, verse-27

आनन्द उवाच ।
जातोऽहमवनीन्द्रस्य क्षत्रियस्य गृहे द्विज ।
तत्पत्न्यां गिरिभद्रायामाददे जातहारिणी ॥२७॥
27. ānanda uvāca .
jāto'hamavanīndrasya kṣatriyasya gṛhe dvija .
tatpatnyāṃ giribhadrāyāmādade jātahāriṇī.
27. ānandaḥ uvāca jātaḥ aham avanīndrasya kṣatriyasya
gṛhe dvija tatpatnyām giribhadrāyām ādade jātahāriṇī
27. Ānanda said, "O Brahmin, I was born in the house of a Kṣatriya king, in his wife Giribhadrā. I was taken by a child-stealer (jātahāriṇī)."
