महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-32, verse-34

इत्युक्त्वा भरतश्रेष्ठो गदामुद्यम्य वीर्यवान् ।
उदतिष्ठत युद्धाय शक्रो वृत्रमिवाह्वयन् ॥३४॥
34. ityuktvā bharataśreṣṭho gadāmudyamya vīryavān ,
udatiṣṭhata yuddhāya śakro vṛtramivāhvayan.
34. iti uktvā bharataśreṣṭhaḥ gadām udyamya vīryavān
udatiṣṭhata yuddhāya śakraḥ vṛtram iva āhvayan
34. iti uktvā gadām udyamya vīryavān bharataśreṣṭhaḥ

34. Having spoken thus, the valiant best of the Bharatas (Bhima), raising his mace, rose up for battle, just as Indra challenges Vritra.
