महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-44, verse-53

तद्युद्धं सुमहच्चासीद्घोररूपं परंतप ।
यादृशं न मया युद्धं दृष्टपूर्वं विशां पते ॥५३॥
53. tadyuddhaṁ sumahaccāsīdghorarūpaṁ paraṁtapa ,
yādṛśaṁ na mayā yuddhaṁ dṛṣṭapūrvaṁ viśāṁ pate.
53. tat yuddhaṃ sumahat ca āsīt ghorarūpaṃ parantapa
yādṛśaṃ na mayā yuddhaṃ dṛṣṭapūrvaṃ viśām pate

53. That battle, O scorcher of foes (parantapa), was indeed very great and frightful in its nature. I had never before seen such a battle, O lord of men (viśāṃ pate).
