कर्णपुत्रस्तु समरे हित्वा नकुलमेव तु ।
जुगोप चक्रं त्वरितं राधेयस्यैव मारिष ॥३९॥

jugopa cakraṁ tvaritaṁ rādheyasyaiva māriṣa.

39. māriṣa,
tu karṇaputraḥ samare nakulam eva hitvā,

39. But Karna's son, O venerable one, abandoning Nakula in battle, quickly protected Karna's (Rādheya's) chariot wheel.
