महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-23, verse-8

नैव भागोऽत्र भीष्मस्य द्रोणस्य च महात्मनः ।
ताभ्यामतीत्य तौ भागौ निहता मम शत्रवः ॥८॥
8. naiva bhāgo'tra bhīṣmasya droṇasya ca mahātmanaḥ ,
tābhyāmatītya tau bhāgau nihatā mama śatravaḥ.
8. na eva bhāgaḥ atra bhīṣmasya droṇasya ca mahātmanaḥ
tābhyām atītya tau bhāgau nihatāḥ mama śatravaḥ
8. atra bhīṣmasya ca mahātmanaḥ droṇasya eva bhāgaḥ na.
tābhyām tau bhāgau atītya mama śatravaḥ nihatāḥ.
8. Here, indeed, there is no share of ultimate victory for Bhīṣma and the great-souled (mahātman) Droṇa. My enemies were slain by them, (but it was only) after they (Bhīṣma and Droṇa) had neglected or been unable to maintain those two divisions (of the army).
