महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-23, verse-54

संजय उवाच ।
तथेति राजन्पुत्रस्ते सह कर्णेन भारत ।
अब्रवीन्मद्रराजस्य सुतं भरतसत्तम ॥५४॥
54. saṁjaya uvāca ,
tatheti rājanputraste saha karṇena bhārata ,
abravīnmadrarājasya sutaṁ bharatasattama.
54. saṃjayaḥ uvāca | tathā iti rājan putraḥ te saha karṇena
bhārata | abravīt madrarājasya sutam bharatasattama
54. saṃjayaḥ uvāca rājan bhārata bharatasattama,
te putraḥ karṇena saha,
"tathā!" iti madrarājasya sutam abravīt
54. Saṃjaya said: "O King (Dhṛtarāṣṭra), O best of Bhāratas, your son (Duryodhana), along with Karṇa, then said 'So be it!' to the son of the King of Madras (Śalya)."
