महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-23, verse-49

कर्णो ह्यभ्यधिकः पार्थादस्त्रैरेव नरर्षभ ।
भवानप्यधिकः कृष्णादश्वयाने बले तथा ॥४९॥
49. karṇo hyabhyadhikaḥ pārthādastraireva nararṣabha ,
bhavānapyadhikaḥ kṛṣṇādaśvayāne bale tathā.
49. karṇaḥ hi abhyadhikaḥ pārthāt astraiḥ eva nararṣabha
bhavān api adhikaḥ kṛṣṇāt aśvayāne bale tathā
49. nararṣabha hi karṇaḥ astraiḥ eva pārthāt abhyadhikaḥ (asti)

49. O best of men, Karṇa is certainly superior to Pārtha (Arjuna) only in weapons. You, however, are also superior to Kṛṣṇa in horsemanship and likewise in strength.
