महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-91, verse-38

स निर्भिद्य भुजं सव्यं माधवस्य महारणे ।
अभ्यगाद्धरणीं घोरः श्वसन्निव महोरगः ॥३८॥
38. sa nirbhidya bhujaṁ savyaṁ mādhavasya mahāraṇe ,
abhyagāddharaṇīṁ ghoraḥ śvasanniva mahoragaḥ.
38. saḥ nirbhidya bhujam savyam mādhavasya mahā-raṇe
abhya-agāt dharaṇīm ghoraḥ śvasan iva mahā-uragaḥ
38. saḥ mahā-raṇe mādhavasya savyam bhujam nirbhidya,
ghoraḥ mahā-uragaḥ iva śvasan dharaṇīm abhya-agāt.
38. Having pierced Mādhava's left arm in the great battle, he, formidable like a great serpent hissing, fell to the ground.
