महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-127, verse-53

न लोभादर्थसंपत्तिर्नराणामिह दृश्यते ।
तदलं तात लोभेन प्रशाम्य भरतर्षभ ॥५३॥
53. na lobhādarthasaṁpattirnarāṇāmiha dṛśyate ,
tadalaṁ tāta lobhena praśāmya bharatarṣabha.
53. na lobhāt artha-saṃpattiḥ narāṇām iha dṛśyate
| tat alam tāta lobhena praśāmya bharata-ṛṣabha
53. iha narāṇām artha-saṃpattiḥ lobhāt na dṛśyate
tat tāta bharatarṣabha lobhena alam praśāmya
53. Prosperity for human beings is not achieved in this world through greed. Therefore, dear one, abandon greed and become calm, O best of the Bharatas.
