महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-127, verse-3

यदि सापि दुरात्मानं शमयेद्दुष्टचेतसम् ।
अपि कृष्णस्य सुहृदस्तिष्ठेम वचने वयम् ॥३॥
3. yadi sāpi durātmānaṁ śamayedduṣṭacetasam ,
api kṛṣṇasya suhṛdastiṣṭhema vacane vayam.

3. If she (Gāndhārī) also can pacify that evil-souled, wicked-hearted one, then perhaps we might remain true to Krishna's words, as his well-wishers.
