महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-57, verse-8

तदिष्टे ते मयैवैते दत्ते स्वे मणिकुण्डले ।
यः कृतस्तेऽद्य समयः सफलं तं कुरुष्व मे ॥८॥
8. tadiṣṭe te mayaivaite datte sve maṇikuṇḍale ,
yaḥ kṛtaste'dya samayaḥ saphalaṁ taṁ kuruṣva me.
8. tat iṣṭe te mayā eva ete datte sve maṇikuṇḍale
yaḥ kṛtaḥ te adya samayaḥ saphalam tam kuruṣva me
8. tat mayā eva ete sve iṣṭe maṇikuṇḍale te datte
yaḥ samayaḥ adya te kṛtaḥ tam me saphalam kuruṣva
8. Therefore, these two jeweled earrings, my own valued possessions, are given by me to you. The agreement (samaya) you made today, make it fruitful for me.
