महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-57, verse-21

विशीर्णबन्धने तस्मिन्गते कृष्णाजिने महीम् ।
अपश्यद्भुजगः कश्चित्ते तत्र मणिकुण्डले ॥२१॥
21. viśīrṇabandhane tasmingate kṛṣṇājine mahīm ,
apaśyadbhujagaḥ kaścitte tatra maṇikuṇḍale.
21. viśīrṇa-bandhane tasmin gate kṛṣṇa-ajine mahīm
apaśyat bhujagaḥ kaścit te tatra maṇi-kuṇḍale
21. tasmin viśīrṇa-bandhane kṛṣṇa-ajine mahīm gate (sati),
kaścit bhujagaḥ tatra te maṇi-kuṇḍale apaśyat
21. When that black deerskin (kṛṣṇājina), its fastening having become loose, fell to the ground, a certain snake saw those two gem-studded earrings there.
