महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-57, verse-25

तस्य वेगमसह्यं तमसहन्ती वसुंधरा ।
दण्डकाष्ठाभिनुन्नाङ्गी चचाल भृशमातुरा ॥२५॥
25. tasya vegamasahyaṁ tamasahantī vasuṁdharā ,
daṇḍakāṣṭhābhinunnāṅgī cacāla bhṛśamāturā.

25. The Earth (vasundharā), unable to endure that unbearable force of his, her body deeply affected by the stick, trembled greatly, in great distress.
