महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-57, verse-20

शाखास्वासज्य तस्यैव कृष्णाजिनमरिंदम ।
यस्मिंस्ते कुण्डले बद्धे तदा द्विजवरेण वै ॥२०॥
20. śākhāsvāsajya tasyaiva kṛṣṇājinamariṁdama ,
yasmiṁste kuṇḍale baddhe tadā dvijavareṇa vai.
20. śākhāsu āsajya tasya eva kṛṣṇa-ajinam arim-dama
yasmin te kuṇḍale baddhe tadā dvija-vareṇa vai
20. arim-dama,
(saḥ) tasya eva śākhāsu kṛṣṇa-ajinam āsajya,
yasmin te kuṇḍale dvija-vareṇa vai tadā baddhe
20. O subduer of enemies (arim-dama), he hung his black deerskin (kṛṣṇājina) on the branches of that very tree. Indeed, in that deerskin (kṛṣṇājina), those two earrings had been tied by the revered brahmin (dvija).
