महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-47, verse-15

शूद्रायां ब्राह्मणाज्जातो नित्यादेयधनः स्मृतः ।
अल्पं वापि प्रदातव्यं शूद्रापुत्राय भारत ॥१५॥
15. śūdrāyāṁ brāhmaṇājjāto nityādeyadhanaḥ smṛtaḥ ,
alpaṁ vāpi pradātavyaṁ śūdrāputrāya bhārata.

15. A son born to a śūdra woman from a brahmin (father) is declared to be one whose wealth is always dependent on being granted. O Bhārata, at least a small amount should be given to such a son of a śūdra woman.
