महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-47, verse-49

क्षत्रियाया हरेत्पुत्रश्चतुरोंऽशान्पितुर्धनात् ।
युद्धावहारिकं यच्च पितुः स्यात्स हरेच्च तत् ॥४९॥
49. kṣatriyāyā haretputraścaturoṁ'śānpiturdhanāt ,
yuddhāvahārikaṁ yacca pituḥ syātsa harecca tat.

49. A son born to a Kṣatriyā woman should inherit four shares from his father's wealth. He should also take whatever property of the father was acquired through warfare.
