महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-318, verse-8

अदृष्टपूर्वानादाय भावानपरिशङ्कितान् ।
इष्टानिष्टान्मनुष्याणामस्तं गच्छन्ति रात्रयः ॥८॥
8. adṛṣṭapūrvānādāya bhāvānapariśaṅkitān ,
iṣṭāniṣṭānmanuṣyāṇāmastaṁ gacchanti rātrayaḥ.
