महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-318, verse-17

गर्भाच्चोद्विजमानानां क्रुद्धादाशीविषादिव ।
आयुष्माञ्जायते पुत्रः कथं प्रेतः पितैव सः ॥१७॥
17. garbhāccodvijamānānāṁ kruddhādāśīviṣādiva ,
āyuṣmāñjāyate putraḥ kathaṁ pretaḥ pitaiva saḥ.
17. garbhāt ca udvijamānānām kruddhāt āśīviṣāt iva
āyuṣmān jāyate putraḥ katham pretaḥ pitā eva saḥ
17. ca garbhāt udvijamānānām kruddhāt āśīviṣāt iva putraḥ āyuṣmān jāyate,
katham saḥ pitā eva pretaḥ
17. And for those who are frightened by the fetus as if by an angry venomous snake, how can a long-lived son be born who is indeed the departed father (preta)?
