महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-263, verse-14

शमेन तपसा चैव भक्त्या च निरुपस्कृतः ।
शुद्धात्मा ब्राह्मणो रात्रौ निदर्शनमपश्यत ॥१४॥
14. śamena tapasā caiva bhaktyā ca nirupaskṛtaḥ ,
śuddhātmā brāhmaṇo rātrau nidarśanamapaśyata.
