कृशतनुरुवाच ।
दुर्लभोऽप्यथ वा नास्ति योऽर्थी धृतिमिवाप्नुयात् ।
सुदुर्लभतरस्तात योऽर्थिनं नावमन्यते ॥३९॥

39. kṛśatanuruvāca ,
durlabho'pyatha vā nāsti yo'rthī dhṛtimivāpnuyāt ,
sudurlabhatarastāta yo'rthinaṁ nāvamanyate.

atha vā na asti yaḥ arthī dhṛtim
iva āpnuyāt sudurlabhataraḥ
tāta yaḥ arthinam na avamanyate

39. Kṛśatanu said: A petitioner who attains satisfaction is rare, or rather, such a one does not exist. But, my dear, someone who does not disregard a petitioner is even more exceedingly rare.
