महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-126, verse-24

अर्घ्यं ततः समानीय पाद्यं चैव महानृषिः ।
आरण्यकेन विधिना राज्ञे सर्वं न्यवेदयत् ॥२४॥
24. arghyaṁ tataḥ samānīya pādyaṁ caiva mahānṛṣiḥ ,
āraṇyakena vidhinā rājñe sarvaṁ nyavedayat.

24. Then, the great sage, having brought both respectful offering water and foot-washing water, presented everything to the king according to the custom observed by forest dwellers.
